sr-will be 6 aps +cap psych
3.97 GPA (unweighted)
should be in top 10/650
decent cross-country runner, but not good enough for columbia's team-4 yrs
also track 2 seasons-4 yrs
350+ hrs of community service-volunteering at summer reading program, hospital (100+ hrs), wildlife refuge, st.vincent de paul society, red cross (100+ hrs)
red cross-vp of 65-member youth council, also disaster volunteer (go out w/adult volunteers to fires, natural disasters, etc to provide shelter/food to families affected)
national honor society, amnesty international (will attend a camp for amnesty youth leaders this summer), gsa (gay-straight alliance), science league (highest-scorer last year), foreign language honor society, french club
also summer-teaching preschool camp, possibly working at caterers
should be taking french/biology at community college during summer
probable majors-psychology/human rights/biology
would applying as a human rights major make me more likely to get in? cuz it's a pretty rare major, columbia's the only place i've seen it offered...
would be applying ed to either cc/johns hopkins. what does everyone think? oh, also, white, female, non-legacy
also-should i retake sats to get verbal up?

yeah...but i've read that u should always try and find something special about the college, so u can say "i want to go here because you have this major/this club/whatever"
