Which would med schools look at more favorably?
A Biomedical Engineering with emphasis in Mechanical degree from USC
or
A Psychobiology degree from UCLA
would anyone know?

Psychobio from UCLA . . . UCLA is a better school academically than USC, although USC is easier than UCLA so you might have a better chance at going to a med school from USC since your GPA will be higher, but don’t let that discourage you, visit both schools and see which you like more, I should hope you like UCLA more but you never know . . . oh and although this seems incredible, you might decide during your years as an undergrad to change your focus and not try for med school, it is not an uncommon thing! So consider which school will do more for you as an academic experience. Most likely UCLA but hey, its your choice.

OK, so I keep posting about this because well, I just made this decision as well. I know there are alot of things said about USC, like it being the University of Spoiled Children or the University of Second Choice, but really...what it all comes down to is picking the best school for your future.
Personally, I would say go with USC. This is because of a variety of reasons. Because USC is a private school, more attention will be given to you, as the school tends to have smaller classes. More attention means more opportunities to do great things at the school. Also, USC is becoming increasingly more competitive and prestigious, as they are focusing on academics alot more than they had previously. UCLA is still an amazing school, but when it comes down to it... I would say USC is the right decision, especially when it comes to grad schools. By making the right contacts, you'll be able to get great letters of recommendation, which will inevitably help you out when applying for grad school.

Ignore that link at the top as it has been abused by people who vote multiple times...

If your looking for sports the obvious choice is USC though. Take football for example, USC has beaten UCLA 37 times while UCLA has won 27 times. USC has the most rosebowl wins i believe and currently is having the best recruiting year of all. i'm pretty sure the freshman GPA's were higher at USC, which means they chose their students better. UCLA is still a more difficult school to get into, but USC is quickly catching up. the alumni options for USC are far superior to those of UCLA and the numerous schools for masters and doctorate programs are some of the top in the world. i would personally choose USC as my school of choice, but i've heard many substantial arguments for UCLA.
