I am a senior. I haven't sent SAT scores to any colleges yet. As I am now signing up for the October SATs should I have my scores sent to the perspective colleges before I know what I got, and if so will they send my old scores too? Or should I wait to know what I get on the Oct. SATs?

I don't think it makes any difference. If I am not mistaken, CB sends scores of every SAT or SAT IIs you ever took while in high school.

you can still send scores after you've gotten your scores back, just go on collegeboard.com and click send scores under the test you've taken and you send your scores, although your high school sometimes might record it on your transcripts, and you should ask if the school your applying to accepts it to be on your transcripts, or if you can submit a photocopy of your results, some schools will accept photocopies and/or on transcripts, they don't necessarily have to come from college board.

PS to answer your question, depending on the deadline i think you should make your judgement as to when to send your scores, they are usually out by oct 21 if you take them on the october test date, if you need your application completed by jan you don't have to send them immediately, but either way regardless collegeboard sends your whole sat history, including the worst ones, you definetly can't stop them from doing that.
i think you should call the prospective schools, and ask if you can submit photocopies, or if they accept them on your transcript(check to see if your school does this), this will save you from spending money on extra expenses for more than the 4 spaces they give you to send scores to.
