My daughter is in, by EA, at Georgetown, and is waiting to hear from Johns Hopkins.

She received 1520 on her SAT I, 800 on the SAT II Writing, 750 on U.S. History, and maybe 730 on Molecular Biology.

She is editor-in-chief of both her high school newspaper and literary magazine.

She's been in a Philharmonic orchestra for the past 4 years, and other orchestras for the prior
3 years (violin). She's been playing the violin for 15 years.

Also, she won one national creative writing award (NCTE).

I really couldn't rate her chances at JHU. They're becoming more interested in creative writing, it seems.

i got EA at gtown and got in JHU 2day:)
i personally like gtown better (although I have never visited either) i think jhu mite have a better 'reputation' but it also has a rep as a 'sciency' school. I could be completely wrong, but I think JHU is gonna be more science people than not, and that's not applealing to me even tho im a science person.

Hopkins is better if you are in the sciences and some liberal arts (international relation program is #1), georgetown is bettter if you want to be a lawyer or in politics.

both are about comperable in selectivity- georgetown- 24% hopkins 27%

Hey, i was wondering a few things, firstly i am very interested in Georgetown. I am wondering if i have any chance into it if my GPA is roughly a 3.25 and SAT is around a 1100. I have many extracurricular activities and both my father and brother attended Georgetown. I am also wondering if it is possible for me to get into the nursing school which is not that competitive then switching to business or economics. one more thing is if i cant get in what prestigous colleges would you recomend that i apply and go to so that i have a chance as a transfer student to Georgetown. if you have any questions on EC activites i have or any advice on how to get in it would b greatly appreciated, thanks
