What have yall heard about Boston University's Engineering program. Obviously it's not the best one in Boston, but is it decent and respectable?

no, not really.
I live in Boston and I've never heard of BU having any sort of engineering reputation.

I know a guy who graduated from BU last year and started work the next Monday in an engineering job he really likes.

I don't know much about BU's engineering program, but I know that they give 10 full scholarships (for any major) if you compete in a test sponsored by the Engineering dept. I took it last fall, the questions are on bio, chem, physics, and math. There are a ton of kids competing; I didn't win, but if you do, it's a lot of money.
