RSI = Research Science Institute. It is a very selective (free) program held at MIT every summer for approx. 60 rising seniors. Winners of Intel and Westinghouse frequently started their projects during RSI. They have a website. Just google-search.

Rejected. I had adequate scores but no research experience (look up useatoothbrush on the PR stat site). I'm not surprised. I figure that if anything I got out of the experience was practicing applying to schools and not getting upset over rejection--a good lesson people don't seem to learn.

lol useatoothbrush... i sympathize.. rejected too- decent scores/ ec's whatever but no prior research experience. I didn't expect anything so whatever... i'm kind of wish i had research connections though. I'm having a lot of trouble looking for places to do research, seems like everyone just wants colelge/ grad students. oh well

Well in the first place... RSI is for 50 in-country rising seniors, and between 20-30 internationals.
and it's not really about research. It's just one big 6-week party, so I hear.

Yeah. There's a lot of crazy stuff going on behind doors. It's a big eugenics experiment. They even have a boy band.
