hi can you guys who have appealed successfully please post your letters of appeal just so we can get an idea of what a successful appeal letter should be like?

When I went to UCLA this summer and visited, my tour guide told us that he was initially rejected from UCLA and appealed 3 times and they finally let him in. He mentioned that his mother was ill or something like that which affected his grades, etc. I think if you bug the hell out of them and let them know that you really want to go there, they will really consider letting you in. But, you have to atleast be a decent applicant.

doesnt it take about 1 month to process an appeal? so how did he appeal 3 times before he was let it before the semester started? Also.. did he mention that his mother was ill during sophomore and junior year? or senior year?
