Is American University good? I saw their SAT average is 1213 which seems pretty high? thanks

1213 is not a high SAT Average. 1420 is a high SAT average.

And i also don't mean comapared to Ivies. I mean is it alot better than most state schools?

American is a great school if you want to be on a campus in washington DC between a nice residential area and Embassy Row. Great law school and well known for international and political studies. Many profs have connections in Washington and internships are abundant for American students. Small classes and very interactive with profs. One of those schools that is not as difficult as some to get admission, but becoming increasingly more selective each year as people discover it.
