I remember your story and wondered how the transfer application to Caltech went. Thanks for bringing us up to date.

Does this mean that Caltech is out of your system, once and for all (at least at the undergrad level)?

Pretty much. It would be hard to transfer to Caltech for my 3rd year, since I'd be way behind by then (UI education is way too easy and low). I might still apply but i doubt i wanna go there for undergrad anymore. It's too late. In any case I'm getting used to UI, I think, so it won't be too bad.

Haha not going anywhere. Just sticking here at UI for the summer, doing some physics research, dealing with some photoluminescence and Raman scattering stuff. I dont do much work, but it's pretty fun. I have proved a Chinese guy about to get his PhD in august wrong several times, and some of my design ideas got approved by the grad students, and of course I'm the only person without a college degree there. They are all graduates. So it's cool! Thedad, perhaps you can email me too? I'd love to speak to you
