I understand that if one applies to a school ED and is accepted, one must attend. However, is it permissible to apply ED to one school and EA to others, withdrawing your EA apps if you are admitted ED?
If this is the case, then what is the difference between the restricted EA at HYS? One could apply to H, for example, and then apply to normal EA schools. AND, if admitted to H, then one would not have to withdraw other EA apps, so it does not seem that restricted EA would be any different from normal EA?

SCEA (Single Choice Early Action) means that you can only apply to that one school EA. You can not apply to any other schools, either ED or EA. If you get in during SCEA, you are not required to attend; this is the difference from ED.
