Let's say I apply ED to two colleges: NYU and Columbia
And I get accepted to NYU first, do I immediatley withdraw my applications elswhere even if I applied ED elsewhere? Will I get caught?

They probably mail you their ED acceptances at about the same time. So yes, you'll be screwed, if you make it into both of them. I wouldn't recommend it.

It's illegal to apply Early Decision to two schools. If they find out, both of your acceptances will be rescinded. The whole point behind ED is that the school is your first choice and you will definitely go there if accepted. So, you're not supposed to apply anywhere else.
