Hi everyone, I am a soon-to-be senior and I am trying to figure out where I want to go to college. Basically my question is about ethnicity. On all standardized tests I have marked caucasion, but my dad was born and raised in Antioch, Turkey. Some people have told me that this makes me a first generation American citizen and should use this to my advantage. My mom was born in the United States. Could this help me or not?

It will give you something interesting to write about in your essay to say the least but I don't know how much it helps. I'm Latino and I was so convinced ethnicity didn't make a difference that I marked the "other" box.
