Can anyone post tips on how I could improve my chances of getting into my top choice college next year, University of Washington, besides the obvious "raise your GPA", "get a higher class rank!" and "retake the SATs!"

I've heard that calling really early and letting them know you are deeply interested helps. I plan to visit this summer not even knowing if I will be accepted in the spring.

Also I'm from NJ so I'm applying out of state which makes it even more hard
