If you got a D or F and are retaking the class, they only count the newer grade in your GPA.

yup jsut fill out a "course repeated" slip at the admissions office I had 5 F`s retook them all and I just got into ucla and ucsd attending ucsd this fall so its really not worth getting upset about, people take the college game to serious there is always a way to fix a problem, especially as a transfer considering I was given the boot in h.s and ranked in the bottom 5 percent of my class i am proof that you can fix ANYTHING

Wow, props to you Kriskrasss. You went from being at the bottom of your high school class and getting kicked out to being accepted to UCLA? That's an awesome accomplishment. That's what makes the community college system so great, it really gives people a second chance.

Yea,
I am stoked for me to get into ANY school is like "woah" I woulda never thought id be getting into some of the top UC`s. If you hold a 3.3+ at a CC you really have a great chance at most of the UCs however with the budget admissions were really tough this year, I wonder when they will post their transfer admissions stats.

Just be careful because most of the time you're limited to a certain amount of course repeats, usually about 16 units.

Congrats on your acceptances Kriskass! That is an accomplishment.

Best bet: read the information on the UC admissions page with a fine tooth comb. There are different requirements for different subjects in terms of getting the D or F wiped out of your UC GPA calculation. www.ucop.edu/pathways
