I love em both. Which one would you choose?

LoL you are the only one that knows where you would do better at, we cannot tell you which we would prefer. For example, I wanna go into business, especially I-Banking. Therefore, I would rather go to Georgetown than Dartmouth. It all depends on you.

how is your financial situation... if you need fin aid, you will be obligated to attend dartmouth if accepted, where at gtown you can choose to decline if their fin aid package sucks

financial aid isnt much of an issue
however, im goin for art history/politics and want to be a college professor

politics=g'town
Where else to study politics than in the political capital of the world?

I agree
and another opposing conflict to think about is location: rural or urban? what is your preference

its such a tough call for me....i love georgetown and the school of foreign service, i love washington and i love the campus.....but dartmouth feels so much more college-y and i love its size and atmosphere

Maybe there's a third option for you: Tufts. The Fletcher School, Boston, college-y campus, right size & atmosphere.

I'm confused. Are you deciding whether you should apply to Dartmouth ED or Georgetown EA, or whether you should go to Dartmouth or Georgetown? If you can't decide where to apply I wouldn't apply early, or apply to Georgetown because it is non-binding. Plus, you have the summer to think about it, so you might just want to sit on it for a while before you make a decision. My college list was different at the beginning of the summer than at the end of the summer. If you are really torn apply regular and see where you get in and how you feel next May.

If you want to do art history, and politics -- why aren't you applying to the best? (Williams) Politics there (for a future college prof) is as strong as the other two, and in art history, there is no comparison.

i don't know if you can say williams is as strong in politics as gtown... for two reasons:
1. dc is the political capital of the world, gtown can exploit it for all its worth, williams cant
2. gtown's school of foreign service is phenominal and probably on par with/better than most ivies

BUT --Ilcap said his/her goal was to be a college professor, not a foreign service officer, not a politician, not a Washington policy wonk. I think you'd likely find that when it came to percentages of students who went on to be Poli. Sci professors, it wouldn't even be close (Williams would be far higher.)
Secondly, he/she put art history first (before political science). Georgetown? It wouldn't likely be in the top 50.
Put what he/she said together, and I doubt it would even be a competition.
