i was wondering if judaism is at all considered a minority at any of the ivies or if being jewish would imporve my chances of getting in at all

Unfortunately, no. It may actually hurt you (although don't hold me to that). Assuming that your screen name is indicative of your hopes, you should know that Jews constitute 25% of all ivy league students. So giving Jews affirmative action would just be counterproductive. If we were given affirmative action, we would constitute probably half of all ivy league students.

I was told that it helps at schools looking to diversify... esp. Vanderbilt
