if you were requested spring grades, what are your stats?

has anyone send in spring grades and get in/rejected?

Kmehrabi, this is a good sign. Trust me! Try not to worry. This means that they need yet another reason to accept you. A request for your spring grades is better than being told that your application is still in review (which seems to be a euphemism for a rejection). I will bet you all my Iron Maiden CDs and my new Civic that you are in! I could wish you good luck, but you don't need it!

Hey I applied for USC as a transfer student for re-admission and they want my spring grades in order to make a final desicion. Actually it is scaring me somehow. my GPA is 3.8 and , i got rejected from UCLA yest and i feel disappointed . The thing i am curious about, is if they need our spring grades that means well get our desicion by July?? thats too late , right?
Btw my major is mathematical sciences ,

i was wondering {if u dont mind asking}, when will ur spring grades be available and when will u be able to send them, my grades will be available by end of June and i am really worried , dont u think thats too late for the admission to make a decision ??
r u gonna be living on campus?

Hy Haneen, my spring grades have actually been available for two weeks, but one of my grades wasnt reported, the slowwwwww ass school i currently go to still hasnt fixed it, but it should all be ready for me within a few days. i called usc to ask if there was any kind of deadline, they said there was none. so i asked what would happen if space was filled up by the time i sent it in. they told me that worst case scenerio if it was so late that there isnt enough room, is that one would be let in under spring admission instead.
yeah i am living on campus. and how come you cant get grades until the end of june?

I swear i am going insane right now.. i didnt start my finals yet, however i was able to make a special request to my professors in order to submit my grades at that time . my biggest problem is am leaving to Europe on the 26th of june and i need to know where the hell am gonna be for my next academic year, i called USC admission office, but they were no help. I was accepted at USC last year but i choose not to go there ( obviously very stupied of me !!!) and am just applied as re-admission, i am so worried, why cant they accept me and make me relieve !!!!?????? i think they dont want me thats why they r making it seem impossible to me to get there.
anyway i am sorry for bothering u with my troubles, i wish u the best of luck!!

haneen, usc even accepts grade report print outs, and i even heard of people asking their professors to email usc, though they perfer transcripts.
where in europe are you going?

I know , thats why am sending unofficial transcripts.my offical transcripts will be available by July 1st. I am going with UC Davis for a summer program to Norway, Denmark and Sweden. And since i need to live on campus, i am afraid there will be no place left by the time i get a desicion,
Do u think its worth to send USC a letter explaining my situation and tell them about my trip to Europe???

oh thats cool, last year i cruised through spain, france, greece, italy, and malta.

i dont think that explaining your situation would make a difference in terms of housing, unless you have a connection with the school.

like if you know someone that works there, you can definatly get them to pull some strings with regard to your situation. my friend was in a similar situation a year ago and did that, he ended up getting very good housing.

im more worried about course selection at this point, you know?

i bet u had a great time cruising all these places..!! actually am not excited at all about my trip !! maybe its due to the depression USC had caused me hehe..
I want to contact USC and ask them whether its possible to send my first and second midterms and make my professor write down my expected spring grade, do u think that would work,?
btw i heard USC's campus is really dangerous. have u heard anything like that???
dont worry about ur course selection, i am sure when u get there u'll find tons of ppl who will help u choose ur courses. but i heard that courses are filled so quickly, and one must choose his/her courses early.
i am sure ull be great and hopefully ull get ur acceptance soon so ull feel relieved!!!

hey, i think you can definatly work something out with usc, they seem to be really leniant on the issue. and yeah, thats what im worried about, the classes getting filled up . i know exactly what i want to take but there may already be no more room.
yeah youre right, i heard the campus is in a bad neigborhood, but that its a gated community cut off from the danger. for me thats perfectly fine, the school im going to now is located in the heart of the WORST crime area of philly. imagine stepping out your dorm to walk to class and getting approached by no less than 3 crackheads begging you for a quarter.
so yeah, lol, it wont be bad.
i think well both get accepted as long as our grades this semester are as good or better than they were before, dont be depressed!
your trip sounds like fun though, be excited!! lol

I dont think so, maybe they have enough information to make a desicion. If they wanted to reject u they would have done it long time ago. I hope ull get in.

yeah it doesnt seem likely that they would do it. they did admit people starting 2 months ago, and not all people asked for spring grades are admitted. i guess they are still just sorting through applications and regardless of if they need more information, they have yet to make a decision

I actually love UCSB , and the atmosphere out there. However, i have personal reasons for transfering ( id rather not talk about ), apart from that , due to the budget cuts i am gonna end up paying UCSB 38,000 39,000 , but thats way too much ( no offense to UCSB) . Since USC is more internationally known than UCSB , it will help me in the long run when i search for a job out of the states.
