i've heard both mentioned. I pretty much understand ED but i don't know much about EA..what is it and how does it differ from ED?

ED = binding, only apply to one
EA = non-binding, you can apply to however many you want.

EA is like regular decision, but you send in your application earlier, and I think you usually have a little better chance if you do EA.

Yale does ED but they are thinking about changing that.
