hi. i'm new to this forum, but would everyone please assess my chances at these colleges for regular decision this year?
Harvard, Yale, Georgetown, MIT, Columbia Engineering, Penn Engineering, Johns Hopkins
Sats: 800v, 770m, 790iic, 780 physics, 770 chem, writing
Rank: 1 in 657, bad high school in new jersey
asian girl, non-legacy, non-athlete
reasonable extracurriculars, boring recommendations, horrible essays
anecdotal info on people you know who got accepted/rejected from hopkins regular decision in the past would also be helpful

You'll definitely get into Johns Hopkins - they accept a bunch of people with your stats and lots of Asians. And at Hopkins - girls are wanted! A lot! My brother goes to Hopkins - you'll definitely get in there and you probably have a good chance at the other places - except harvard and yale. Good essays and recs are def need for them and lots of really good activities. Good luck with those anyway. You'll get into a good school - don't worry.
