Hi, I am currently a high school junior and I had a question regarding being the first in my family to attend college. My father has an A.S. degree that he received through attending several different community colleges. Would his A.S. degree eliminate me from being considered the first in my family to attend college? Thanks

Yes, I am almost certain that it may eliminate you from the category of first generation scholarships

Where can I find scholarships specifically for first generation college students?

Hi, right now I am a junior at Union High School in Missouri and I have a question. My mother attempted to go to college but never graduated and my father never went to college. Can I get anything because they never went/graduated from college? Thanks.

my dad never graduated from high school, my step-father only graduated from high school, BUT my mom is now (after 20 years) going to college to get a certificate in something. does the fact that mom is going for a certificate after 20 years pull me out of the first gerneration catagory or do i still qualify?!? thanks in advance! i hope someone can offer some advice.
