I hope to hear from UCSB soon, but on their website they say that they won't start reviewing appeals until the beginning of May.

i heard that students who appealed are not guaranteed on-campus housing.
this is for UC only.
i'm not totally sure, but if spaces run out, chances are you have to live off-campus.
but actually, a lot of people at UCD live off-campus. my brother did that too when he was a freshman.

That would scare me if I was appealing anywhere else besided SB, but since my brother goes there and I plan to live at his place everything should work out well.

yeah definitely artic. I hope you get in. BTW, what was your appeal basis? I used an extenuating circumstances basis, and I think I have a good chance. Wish I could find out the results before May 1 that way I could send in my SIR and have guaranteed housing...lol but then I wake up.

Those that are waiting to hear from SB, are you transfer students or freshman? and are you waiting to hear from appeal or just normal acceptance. I havent heard from them yet, but i have till may 1st, i'm a transfer student but i'm dieing to know.

I got an admission in UC Berkeley. I would like to apeal for UCLA. Does anyone have any idea on what background i should apeal? What are the % chances? Is there any dead line ( Last date) for apeal?

^I hope so b/c every1 already stole spots for places they didn't want to go to in the first round of applications. I think if you apply you better go there, but i heard about an *insert curse here* who got into stanford, all the UC's except berkley and some other places. He appealed and got into Berkley out of spite so he could claim he got into all the UCs. I really hate people like that because they are just taking valuable space that they don't want. Moral of the story, if you appeal somwhere you better go there or I will hunt you down .> <.<
