Where can I find online webpage that shows all the college that celebrities went. I only know few such as Julia Stiles(Columbia) and Natalie Porter(Harvard) and blah blah blah...
If there is a webpage that shows the college of all famous people more or less, that's even better.

By Toxicity01 (Toxicity01) on Monday, April 19, 2004 - 05:14 pm: Edit

Columbia: Julia Stiles, Anna Paquin
NYU: Olsen twins
Yale: Shia Lebouef (spelling?)

I've heard when celebrities attend college, they rarely ever attend class, and are usually on "sabatacles" most of the time.

I asked my mom about that, she said when Brooke Shields was applying to college, her mother demanded that all colleges accept her before she applied. Princeton did, but Harvard told her that she had to apply first. They got into a big fight with Harvard (Brooke's first choice), she had to settle with Princeton. And Jodie Foster went to Yale.

Nick Lachey was an SAE at USC -- and supposedly has the fraternity's secret Greek symbol (Phi Alpha) tattooed on his butt -- If I'm not wrong, every SAE out of USC has been getting that same tattoo on the same spot for over 30 years.

But as for a couple of other celebrity schools: Princeton, Stanford and Michigan.

By Fakeplastictree (Fakeplastictree) on Monday, April 19, 2004 - 06:52 pm: Edit

For such a small school, Vassar has:
Lisa Kudrow
Jackie O
Meryll Streep
...a lot of bestselling authors, and both Anne Hathaway and Tom Hanks' daughter currently go there.

NYU has a TON of celebrities who come out of their drama department. I can only think of Adam Sandler right now.

And of course, the Ivies have a lot. Can celebrities pretty much go wherever they want as long as they have somewhat decent grades?

I think Natalie Portman is transfering to NYU...on my tour there, my tourguide had given her a tour the week before. She made it sound like Natalie was definately coming there.

Are you talking about people who were already famous when they attended college? If your just talking about celebrities in general, then practically every college and university has famous alumni.

"I think most get in just because they are celebs."

Yep. I heard somewhere the acceptance rate for celebrities is about 98%. That's why I find it so hard to believe the Olsen twins when they said they were "studying" for the SAT and sweating out college admissions like the rest of us. They would have gotten into NYU even if they had 0.2 GPAs and 400 on the SAT.

By Mzhang23 (Mzhang23) on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 - 12:57 am: Edit

"I heard somewhere the acceptance rate for celebrities is about 98%."

How does that work? Obviously, this can't be at every school. Which school is that? Your hearsay is certainly a rather incredulous belief.

and I'm pretty sure the Olsen twins actually tried at their SAT's. They most likely had tutors helping and probably did pretty decently. The SAT material is only that hard - I'm guessing they scored 1300+ each.

You seem to have something against celebs. There are a ton of smart celebs out there who were perfectly in range with their scores to attend the schools they applied to. Don't assume every celeb is a stuck-up ••••••• who cuts class and doesn't care about other people. Natalie Portman and several others are fantastic students as well as talented performers.

HTH.

If they weren't who they are, they wouldn't have gotten in for sure.

He used to live up the street from my friend, went to a lot of our local dances/underage club type thingies, I had a bunch of friends that went to school with him (I think he went to Chaminade?), and now I'm going to school with him...? Sorry, it just amuses me. The girl that plays Ruthie on that show is really sweet (Mckenzie is her name). I used to ride horses with her and her stepmom(?).
