As long as there's an interviewer in your area, the interviews aren't optional. If you say "no," realize that probably would be interpreted by adcoms as your not being interested in Harvard. They probably would assume your parents forced you to apply.

Harvard requires interviews from all applicants when possible. IIRC, they won't look at your app until the interview is on file.
