i need advice on whether to attend the Youth Leadership Institute sponsored by my local rotary club. it's a somewhat demanding program that is 5 days long from 8:00am to 5:00pm. They meet with the governor and have compeitions on leadership skills..etc you get the picture. I am accepted but i m not sure if i should go b/c i m not sure if it is really that important. will this help with the college admission. i am already on the student council and vp of FBLA. so can someone please help me. i need to reply by monday. thank you.

Activities that go beyond your own HS are usually a good thing.

My kids both attended outside leadership programs and had an opportunity to meet interesting students from other schools as well as community leaders. I think they both felt it was worthwhile.
