I got my packet on saturday saying i got into USC for my choice major (Business Administration at the Marshall school). However, i am accepted for spring addmitance (starting in January). Does starting in january have anything to do with my business major, and the new business program being started at USC this year? Also is this a selective program...like how many people get accepted to the Marshall school as freshman?

Congrats! i got in too.
yes, business program is pretty selective. I read in their catalogue that "usually, students are admitted to the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences as 'pre-business' majors, although this is not a prerequisite for admission to the business school in the junior year or earliers. However, certain students are admitted directly into the school as freshmen throug the Business Scholars Program. Admission under this program is based on scholastic merit . "

Same here... do you think you're gonna go? Another kid from my school got in as well, but I don't think it's his first choice.
The spring admission pissed my parents off a bit-- I suggested a study abroad term in Italy, they suggested I stop dreaming, stay home, and take classes at a crappy CC.
