ok this may seem like a kind of retarded question and all.. but i want to know whats the difference between the UC system and CSU system.. like i OBVIOUSLY know the UC system is looked at as better academically, and is therefore more "prestigious" than the CSU system..but how are their academics better? so is it just better teachers? or the way they conduct their programs/research.. or what exactly...? this question may have been a common sense kind of question, but yeah i'm not the best at that department and just want to know exactly WHY the uc system is the best public school system in our nation..

by the way going to UCSD sixth college..linguistics major.. anyoone else going to sd?

Generally speaking, the UC system is well-known for its outstanding programs and research (not to mention the revenue and grants they receive). Professors are well-respected because they are Nobel lauretes, Pulitzer prize winners, etc. Also, the UCs are more of "sports schools" than the CSU.

I got into Revelle College at SD.
