I am planning on majoring in bioengineering. Which school should i go to?

UCSD, if you're in state.

Forget about UCSD if money's not the main issue...go somewhere where you'll get more individual attention.

harvey mudd = individual attention plus awesome professors

I vote Cornell or Harvey Mudd if you are not a California resident.
If you are a resident, I would consider UCSD, considering in-state costs would be almost half what you would pay for a private college. I hear UCSD's biology program is top-notch.
Personally, I would spring for Harvey Mudd, and that's with the consideration that I live in California.

I would say UCSD. If you're in state UCSD would be definately your best bang for your buck. Also, I don't believe Carnegie Mellon even has a bioengineering major. Location speaking...UCSD would also offer you a good number of internship opportunities since I believe a significant number of biotech companies are located in the SD area. Finally, if I am not mistaken...UCSD is ranked the highest among your schools in bioengineering programs. Of course, your learning style could play a huge part in this decision. I would definately caution you about UCSD if you have trouble learning things independently

UCSD is definitely the cheapest school out of the bunch (if in state). Otherwise, you can't beat an Ivy education. Harvey Mudd is not really a good option, since it's a LAC, and therefore hidden and not too prestitious.

Cornell has a biological engineering program as opposed to a biomedical engineering program. I don't know what the difference is, but it's probably worth looking into.
For biomedical, you will most likely go beyond a BS degree, so it may or may not matter. My brother who is an engineer said that to have any credibility in the biomedical field you should be an MD or PhD.

^ yeah that was my thinking with UCSD
I could go to school much cheaper with a very good program (4th ranked bioengineering in the nation). Then go to a more expensive graduate school.

I thought ucsd had the best bioengineering in the nation...

same here...i've heard ucsd's engineering program is better than columbia's
