On behalf of the University community, it is my honor to offer you admission to Berkeley! Your application has been approved for the spring semester 2005 , which begins in January. Although you did not apply for the spring term, we are offering this option to selected students we could not admit for fall 2004. Spring 2005 freshmen may begin their college careers in the fall by participating in the UC Berkeley Extension Fall Program for Freshmen, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please refer to our Spring Admission FAQ's for more information.

My son was also accepted to spring '05. Housing is not guaranteed, but you can apply. The online info indicates that if you are wait-listed, things open up in the Fall (eg students who flake out) Also, new/renovated housing is opening in Spring '05.

Actually, on the actual website for UC berkeley, not the extension one, housing IS GUARANTEED! It;s because of the newly developed housing in unit 2, so all spring admits are sure to have space.

SWEET kremlin are you serious about this? where is the link to this?? awesomenesssssss

HEHE! If you log into myberkeleyapplication, where you find out if you got accetped or not, you'll find tabs at the top of the website with: "home","join us," "next steps," and "many faces." If you click on next steps, it'll say that housing is guaranteed. Yeah... i was freakin out that i wouldn't be in dorms. Also, i'm gonna do the UCB extension program, which i might be able to get into forms at the fall - though thats not guaranteed. Good thing is, space always open up and so, since i'm in commuting distance, i can always leave myself on the waitlist and basically sit around until a spot opens up.

yeah but its not guaranteed for fall if you want to be in the FEP...which would really suck...
