When did you file your SIR? Approximately how long did it take for your admission to become "official," meaning they had verified your transcript and grades and such?

Freshman SIRs are due May 1. Then you submit your final transcript after graduation. All admissions are provisional until they verify your senior year grades. If anyone gets bad grades they should just call, tell them and get it over with. It would be a drag to find out your can't go to the school you have been planning in september.

What constitutes a bad grade? a C?

For the UC's, you have to tell them if you get more than three C's, or a D or an F in any class. Other than that, dont' worry about it, you're fine. Just get your SIR in by the deadline and have your hs counseling office send in your transcripts at the end of the year. Which UC are you going to next year Nmoreno1?
