Hmm...neither rejected nor accepted:

Considering I never sent such a letter and considering I thought this issue was resolved...I'm incredibly angry at San Diego right now.

Perhaps a small percentage are out of state. But not I. I hear that the housing situation is going to be dog eat dog this next year and that students are advised to notify UCSD of their decision as soon as possible.

I got rejected with a 4.7 UC GPA, 777 SAT II avg., and 1440 SAT I. Got into UCLA. I thought they sent me a guarantee letter before for being selected for ELC, too. Can anyone explain this to me? Now I am worried about UCB.

wait, i thought being in ELC guarantees you to any one college in the UC system. so that could mean if u applied for other "lower" ones, such as irvine, davis, sb, riverside, sc, they'll guarantee you admission in one of those, it's likely it's one of those. Well, unless for you, xtheonex, if u applied to only UCB, UCLA, and UCSD, i get what you're saying, but if u also applied to other "lower" UC's, then ELC guarantees you to one of those i think...

Don't classify irvine and SB in the "lower" ones...I'm not going to attend those schools, but I don't consider them bad, Irvine has a great biology department, one of the best in the UC system. Please don't assume.

ok i got in sort of......

winter admit--they said i was just under the minimum points for fall admission...whatever

and they changed my college to warren and i wanted erc

and they dont guarantee housing for winter admits

and my gpa and sats are over their average especially for social science and i applied under polisci and i have leadership stuff.

ucsd which was one of my first choices isnt looking good anymore

did something like this happen to anyone else?
