anyone have any idea what this year's admittance rate might have been? it appears that many qualified applicants were not accepted... students with stats above ucsb's average.

I don't think it is 52% Last year the acceptance rate was 50%. This year, due to budget cuts, it seems that all the UCs acceptance rates went down. UC Davis went from 61% to 52%. I also know MANY people who got rejected to UCSB this year. I am guessing that their acceptance rate this year is anywhere from 30% - 45%.
