I got one too. I think I'm gonna go and check it out. You can go to the UCLA website and search for AAP and find more info on it. I might do the summer program where you take 2 GE classes and get used to the campus and stuff.

the site doesnt say how much is costs. is there an estimate of what the price would be to do the summer program? thanks

I haven't seen anything on price either. I guess I'll go to that meeting and learn about it.

AAP is for minority students (Asians and Whites aren't considered minorities @ UCLA anymore) that are first generation college students. Its a great program, they have really good resources and the best tutoring on campus. They really hook AAP students up, even with priority enrollment. Personally, I didn't qualify (being Filipino) but my best friend is also my lab partner in most of my classes so I usually go to tutoring sessions with him. If you can do it, do it. If you can't, there are other great programs for non-minority students as well. Good luck new Bruins, you're in for one heck of an experience here!

April 1st you can apply for financial aid for the summer programs...I think.

The link for the summer sessions is here:

Unfortunately, i will not be able to attend the AAP day because of a jazz festival in Fullerton that same day.

Perphaps I will see some of you at the summer sessions!

Best of luck to ye.

I'm probably gonna go. I'm Filipino too, yet I qualified as an AAP scholar.

AAP is SO awesome. AAP day is what convinced me to go to UCLA out of the 28 other schools I was accepted to. It's for minority students... and during your school year your get preferential enrollment and free tutoring. Everyone's really nice and it's helpful. Go!

how many days is it? and do we have to live on campus?

Wow, you were accepted to 28 SCHOOLS, Adrockmikd??!!?? Are you still at UCLA?
