I know some of the UC kiddoes verified online before their letters were sent out. Do any private schools do this? Specifically, Notre Dame, Stanford, Georgetown, or Northwestern?
Why do some colleges do this anyway? I think it'd be more of a thrill to go out to your mailbox and wonder about your fate contained within the envelope.
Thanks guys, any input is appreciated.

i'm pretty sure stanford does NOT.
Northwestern has a status check but I was accepted just yesterday but when I went to check my status it doesn't say anything, just has that screen where you can see if all your materials are there or not, so I am not sure.
