umm but...has anyone been rejected from UCI already?

haven't heard about anybody getting rejected yet. but it is taking them an insaaaanely long time to get back to people. i have two friends who haven't heard back from uci yet, both of them within the top 10% at our (in-state) school, both with 4,0+ gpas, and one was on asb last year... they're both overqualified in my opinion. don't know why it's taking so long.

Same here. My decision is still pending and I can't wait as I got accepted to all colleges besides UCI so far. UCSB

still pending here too. Already in at UCLA, Regents at UCR. 4.0+ 1500 SAT. It seems pretty random to me.

Freshman Applicants:
Starting March 1, 2004, admission decisions will be posted electronically at MyAdmissionsApplication@UCI for some freshmen. However, with over 30,000 freshmen applications, all decisions will not be completed until late March. Students will also receive a formal letter of notification no later than March 31. Students should not contact UCI Admissions until AFTER March 31 regarding admission decisions and/or a student's status.

They just changed this today as I checked yesterday, this was last updated on the 11/10/03.

UCI was the very first UC-- hell, first college--that I started checking my status with.. and it's still pending! Over two weeks of checking MULTIPLE times a day, and still nothing! =(

It's gotten frustrating, but I've gotten into a couple other UCs in the meantime, which keeps me going. =P

Welcome to the UC system folks. I don't mean to be sarcastic but this is pretty much how the UC's operate - lots of waiting, bureaucratic red tape,etc. Good luck everyone!
