.. is this Steinhardt's version of Sunday at the Square? and if so does it mean i'm pretty much accepted?

I got almost the EXACT same thing only from the school of theatre from USC and i'm curious as to what it means as well.

yes. well, here's the exact wording from the invitation.

Dean Madeline Puzo invites you to the USC School of Theatre's Open House and to see our production of Gilbert and Sullivan's Patience Saturday, April 3, 2004.
