Accepted early decision at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for architecture. Program is very well known on west coast and ranked 2nd nationally this year according to Design Intelligence rankings.

oh I'm very interested in architecture!
I don't feel comfortable posting my stats and ish here, but if you want, hit me up on AIM!
I can talk on and on about architecture schools and the profession in general if you want me to also hehe
(the mods are nazis about this for some reason, so if you want my sn, check my profile)
to give you an idea though, my top two schools I'm applying to are penn and yale... I also applied to SLO, and got in

comfort- actually, this year (2004) I believe SLO ranked third, a drop from second last year (2003)... which is great nevertheless, of course ;)

I have a daughter who has applied to college planning to major in architecture. She is going for the architecture major within a liberal arts setting, not the five year BArch programs. I do not post stats. But she has applied to Yale, Princeton, Brown, Penn, Tufts, Smith, Connecticut College, and Lehigh.
Good luck all of you!!
Susan

I want to become an architect. I applied to Cal Poly SLO, UCLA (i applied to design and media arts since they don't have an undergrad program, only accepts 36 or so), UCB, Cal Poly Pomona, and USC. I've only heard from 3 of them though, no for ucla and yes for cal poly slo and usc. i know cal poly probably has the better architecture program, but I have no idea about usc's. Right now usc looks like a lot more fun, exciting, and prestigious but I know cal poly was 3rd in the nation and usc didn't even rank...anyone know anything to help?
