If that is so, whatever. My first rejected school? Hahahahahaha. I don't plan on going there anyways.

Admission to the honors program -- in other words, being invited to apply does not mean that you are admitted into the Honors Program at UCR.

So apply.

What about the honors program? My son applied to UCR as a safety, and got an email invite to the honors program. I called and was told that he should apply even if he doesn't know whether or not he will attend UCR. Can anyone here tell me about the program? thanks

basically it's like being in a small college within a large university. you get priority registation and housing, you get small classes, you get one-on-one attention etc.
