For the admission status pate for UCSC (http://my.ucsc.edu), they ask for a login and password.
For some reason, they decided not to include this in any emails they've sent me, but only in snail mail packages that I have long misplaced.
Can anyone tell me what the assigned "login" for UCSC supposed to be? I'm not looking for YOUR personal login, but is it a variation of your name or email address? Is it some randomly generated number?
Does anyone know where I can retrieve my login since I've lost it?
Thanks.

Sorry; you have to email them!
It's a pain; it isn't your UC application ID number, or your birthday, or you social security number, or any combination thereof. Just some funky alphanumeric string with an equally funky but somewhat more relevant automatic password.
Emailing them does take a couple of days, so you might just best be advised to wait for the snail-mail.
(email admission@cats.ucsc.edu)
Good luck.
