I have decided not to major in Biology, but Literature because I have decided science is an extremely tough subject for me, and even if I have the drive, many colleges might not have faith in me as a student. Should I call each college to tell them that to increase my chances of getting in?

Yes, if you wait until they make their decision, it may be too late to change.

Depends on the college. If they admit by major, then yes you should tell them. If you don't have to declare your final major until later, it probably won't be a big deal.
