I also got into the Pharmacy program at St. Johns, but I heard that the school is like...bobo (no offense) so I'm not going there.

virgo007,congrats. what do you mean the school is bad? i didn't hear anything about st.john's. could you tell me? i suppose they offered you full scholarship right? do you think i should negotiate the scholarship offer with rutgers since usp and st.john's offered a lot of scholarships. but rutgers only offered me loans and work study.

St. Johns' campus is in a bad neighborhood...

and Rutgers is much more prestigious

Living 10-15 mins from St. John's, I can say that it is in a pretty bad area. Jamaica is known in queens for its problems and gang related incidences. The campus is pretty small and there arent any good reasons to go there.

Synapse and Fly said it all. St. John's is not as good a school academically as Rutgers. In my opinion, there is no comparison. The neighborhood is terrible, the student body has the intelligence of a cow, and the college itself is a bit demoralizing.

Pokemon, I noticed you have asked many people on where to go for Pharmacy. I know that in your position, you may think that the option is not clear, but there is no doubt it my mind Rutgers is the way to go if you want to do Pharmacy.

Pokemon, I would easily suggest Rutgers over SJU it is a much better school and probably a much better environment.

I applied to 11 schools.. got into Suny Albany and Buffalo and I got waitlisted at UMD College Park so far. I havent heard from the rest.

I have decent stats

1240 sats
8 aps, 10 honors
92 weighted gpa
good ecs, good recs
