first marking period. I already told my mom so she doesn't totally freak out, but she's so pissed, I can tell. I've never even come close to failing anything, and I know it's my own fault. I don't do any homework, I've been...uhhh...absent a couple of times.

What I am slightly irritated at is that my health teacher, while discussing the matter with me, spoke in a condescending manner. Health is not rocket science, I know what I need to do to pass. I'm pretty much used to faculty treating me as an adult (I know all their dirt), so maybe I overreacting simply because I am not used to it.

I hate school in general, so maybe that's what makes it so difficult. Homeschooling, I think, was much more suited to my personality and tastes.

Can't you fail the first marking period, then get an A the next time, and an A on the exam and still have an alright grade?

I doubt it's a course colleges care about anyway. It's not exactly rigorous or useful (at least at my school).

I'm very familiar with your senioritis!

I am curious about you knowing all the "dirt" on the faculty. You almost make it sound like they better treat you right or else! Apparently you expect differential treatment because of your knowledge of their "dirt". It sounds like the health teacher hasn't gotten with the program. Tsk, tsk...

aw that sucks...well if it's any consolation, the ucs didn't even look at my health grades, since i think it's considered a nonacademic course. unless i totally screwed up and should have reported my phys ed/health/religion classes anyway.

I'm failing English- woo!

By Candi1657 (Candi1657) on Thursday, February 26, 2004 - 07:48 pm: Edit

Yep, I am not panicked because I know that I have next marking period to improve. It's not going to be on my transcript.

Cruella
I certainly do expect special treatment from knowledge of their dirt. If you knew the specifics, you would know that a lot of them owe me. LOL...My health teacher just doesn't know me well enough. Give it time. Give it time...LOL...

Well, generally speaking, one teacher enjoys discussing with me some of his...err...habits and...err...preferences. Another (on a "hiatus") got locked up for assault (yes, and I know all the juicy details). And there's much more...much worse...People just like confiding in me and I enjoy listening.

You mean he didn't have the revelation that you're a prima donna? It must be rough.

What's prima donna about not wanting to be treated in a non-condescending manner???? You're amusing. (And he's a she...)

Just curious....wouldn't your grade in second semester affect your admission? Some schools require a final transcript and I don't really know what it is for...

By Candi1657 (Candi1657) on Saturday, February 28, 2004 - 04:46 pm: Edit

It's a first marking period grade, only third marking period grades show up on your transcript.
