Does anyone know if Brandeis is a Tier 1 or Tier 2 school?

I would think Brandeis would be a Tier 1 University.

For what it's worth, in 2003, USNWR ranked Brandeis #31 together with UCSD, USC, and U Wisconsin-Madison among the best national universities-doctoral. This put it higher than NYU, Rochester, Case Western, UIUC, UCSB, UT-Austin and several other universities.

It's definitely teir 1

My sister goes there, and it is an extremely challenging school. Big work load. Very good academics

It's also very intense, competitive and career oriented. A lot of people are premed or prelaw, and talking about how they are going to prep for their GRE their first day there.

My sister says some of the people are snobby and have poor social skills. At first she really didn't like it, but it has gotten better. She says that if she had it to do over again, she wouldn't have gone to Brandies, but it's worked out okay.
