what do i need to show the university if i say "i was first in the world on this and this", do i just give them a copy of the certificate or what?
also, how do they know how many of the volunteer hours i say i did was actualy true? do they require a statement from the supervisor for proof?
another thing, i know i was top 5% on AMC and AIME, but i dont know my exact rankings, anyone have any idea were i can get my hands on them?
thx a bunch, Rui Ma

Everyone who does well on AMC exams is in the annual "Summary of High School Results and Awards", which is available to colleges (or anyone else who wants to buy one). If the college wants to confirm that you did as well as you say, they can simply look up your name.
Were you number one in the world at something? If so, what sort of thing was it? If you were first in the world at something academic and reasonably important, like the Int'l Physics Olympiad, colleges could easily confirm that on the internet. If it was something like first in the world in number of Pop-Tarts eaten in an hour, you probably don't want to include it anyway.
