The midyear reports won't get into colleges by the end of February. At my school, the semester ends at the end of january, the updated transcripts come 2 weeks later, and then they send them.

If you're applying regular decision, is it possible they may accept you without even looking at your midyear grades? I'm assuming they start looking at them before the end of February.

And if I did really well 1st quarter (straight As), should i photocopy my report card and send it in informally?

Any ideas? I've been wondering about this for weeks.

Have your guidance counslor send your first quarter grades officially (e.g. send the report card). If you do it, I don't think the colleges will accept it. Have your guidance counslor send the first quarter grades with your official transcript, signed, stamped, etc.

I asked about that...my guidance counselor told me I should send it with mine.

So I guess the general question is: If you're applying regular decision, is it possible they may accept you without even looking at your midyear grades?

Ok, Im applying to USC, Stanford, Oregon State, U of Washington, and some other schools.

Only USC and Stanford ask for mid year grades. The rest dont, you just apply with your 9-11 grades.

I was under the impression that USC only requires midyear grades if they specifically send you a letter requesting them.

Am I correct?
