On the part of the application form that asks for interest/activity, hrs/week, wks/yr, and desc., do you need to put down total community service hours? When people post things on this board they say that they've put in ~350 hrs spoonfeeding homeless people, etc., but is this necessary on the app where you already have hrs/wk and wks/yr? It seems redundant to me, but I'm just checking.

i just did the math i estimated how many weeks i had volunteered and then divided total hours by that number

My opinion: Don't strategize,somehow love what you are volunteering for (if not, volunteer for something else) and tell about it with true passion on your application
