Get a summer job or internship that involves more than slinging hamburgers (although any type of work experience is good!). Take a basic introduction to management course at a local CC. Take AP Economics. Get elected to treasurer of a club or organization where you actually have responsibility for handling funds and doing bookkeeping. There are also some summer college programs that focus on entrepreneurship and business management - see if you can track one down on the internet. Volunteer to help with fundraising for a non-profit organization. Start and run your own part-time business. Join your local Rotary Club as a student member and attend meetings on a regular basis. Read trade/business publications and keep an eye out for educational conferences that you might be able to attend.

Of course, most people won't be able to do ALL of this but this should give you some ideas.
