the upenn essay is so random! i want to make mine creative, but its starting to just talk about a personal thing of mine and how i grew to find my place and love learning you know. is that too cheesey/generic?

BTw, putting down the ethnicity for Upenn is optional..im asian-american (pakistani)..and i think checking off pakistani will not work in my favor. do you think i should just leave it blank?

Who are you kidding. I mean cmon. IT's a total give away when they look at your last names. Such as Chang is so Chinese, Kim is Korean, Nakamura is so Japanese, Gupta is so Indian, etc. etc. So I would prefer no, unless your last name is somehow "Smith" or "Rodriguez" or something. It'll make you look as if you're hiding something.
