would it be totally awful if i rewrote my essay to be about evacuating my house b/c of the fires here in cali? i evacuated 2 days ago.

That might be a pretty cool essay topic. I mean, it deals with current events, and since it's new, it hasn't been overused (while things like 9/11 have). I'd say go for it!
