How much do the colleges weigh on class rank(especially the Ivy League schools & UCs). I understand that the UCs don't ask for class rank since they calculate their own GPA, but will it make a difference if my class rank is good/bad? I just received my class rank today and I'm #15 out of 509 students at a competitive high school. Is this going to help me for admission to these colleges?

Class rank matters, but GPA matters more at all colleges

The UC's are extremely numbers-centric and tend to look at GPA. The Ivies look at it more holistically. Other colleges all have different systems. One, Haverford, uses ONLY class rank and throws out GPA. They might tell you their specific system if you call and ask.
