This is the award for one guy and one girl in each state per year. I think it's the same as Siemens AP Scholar or something.
Is this like guarenteed admittance to Harvard, Princeton, and the rest?

Not the same as Siemens. Siemens involves scoring 5s on certain math/science APs. State Scholar involves having a high average on the largest number of AP exams of all subjects.
If you are the State Scholar from Wyoming with 5 AP exams, you certainly are not going to be preferred for admission over the 30 or 40 people in New York who possibly had more than 5 but were not State Scholar.

Is Siemens/State Scholar even SIGNIFICANT?
How does it compare to Intel Talent Search, Westinghouse, etc?

AP awards are not impressive for their own sake. But the people who win them usually have an impressive list of high scores on AP exams. The males who win the Nat'l Siemens AP Scholar award usually have 5s on ALL of the following exams by the end of junior year (scores at the end of senior year don't count):
Calculus BC
Phys C - mech
Phys C - EM
Stat
Chem
Bio
Env Sci
Com Sci AB

What about National AP Scholar? How impressive/nonimpressive is that?

Well Siemens is what...2 people per state? Seems rather impressive to me.

Siemens is quite easy... You just have to know about it early enough.
You can easily do Stats freshman year. Depending on your personal interests, you can arrange the rest to finish by end of junior year.
Unless Env Sci is much harder than I think, you should also be able to do this freshman year.
Do Chem+Bio the same year.
Do Calc+Physics C the same year.
Do Comp Sci any year (easy enough test)...

Don't forget - nothing less than a five counts.

Haha.. The five is easy enough to get. Plus, I saw nothing about retaking exams if you needed to. Just do the easier ones (exams with large curves such as Physics C) junior year to be safe, so you could retake the more varying ones (I'm thinking Chem would be one where your score could easily vary)
Dang it! I'm only missing Stats,Env Sci, and Bio...
No way I could NOT get 5 on Stats (unless my teacher is way too easy).
Bio, if I studied, I could get a 5.
Env Sci, I still do not know enough about to really be saying whether it's hard or easy. But, if I had the motivation, I'm sure I could just study for the 5. (But I'm a senior now, and I plan to save money and take very few AP's this year)
In the end, you have to start taking AP's earlier and earlier. The Siemens AP award is only pushing AP's at a younger age. I want to push my brother to get this now, but he doesn't seem interested in academics!

Hey, I took those tests and they were REALLY easy. Don't worry. :-)
